Projects & Record Book Resources:
Deadlines for Projects:
March 1-Deadline to acquire and upload Hunter’s Safety Card in 4HOnline for Shooting Sports Projects.
March 1-Deadline to add or drop projects in the county.
May 1- Deadline to upload horse & dog Id’s in 4HOnline. *4HOnline will lock after this date.
*See the current year Fair Book for all fair-related deadlines.
August 31st-Deadline to turn in livestock record books to the Extension Office.
*Self-determined (i.e. county) projects need to be approved by the county before a member may begin. This is to help ensure that there is no existing project category and that the project is suitable for the member’s age and skills, can be reasonably completed, and has an educational purpose.
Record Books-All 4-H projects (general and animal) will utilize the State of Colorado 4-H record books. *Be aware that there are different “Age Divisions” for Livestock/Animal record books. There are supplemental records to attach for breeding animals. FFA members must utilize their records system for FFA animal projects. A 4-H club leader’s signature is not required for livestock record books to be completed, only general projects (because of state-level judging potential).
